Eat cookie dough without the worry! This chickpea cookie dough is not to be baked, but simply to enjoy what I think is the best part of cookies… the dough! Some of my favourite memories is being able to lick the bowl while my mom baked and now every time I make this recipe I am reminded. I hope you enjoy this recipe and are maybe reminded of your own childhood too!
I first saw the concept of chickpea cookie dough in a teen magazine when I was in high school and I have always wanted to try making it, but never had the time! Once I became a full time homemaker I had the time for baking and decided to create this recipe. This edible chickpea cookie dough is now one of my favourite treats! It’s great to have during movie night and if you have friends over it is a fun dessert, just serve with graham crackers to make it a dip!
How to Make
You will need:
- 1 Can Chickpeas
- 1/3 Cup Natural Peanut Butter
- 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
- 2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
- Add at the end Dark Chocolate Chips
How to make:
- Mix all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth. If you do not have a food processor, mash all the ingredients together with a fork. It will take a little longer, but it works well!
- After mixing add as many dark chocolate chips that you would like!
