Why do we love making coffee at home?
The main reason we love making homemade dairy free vanilla latte’s from scratch is affordability. The other reason is it is nice to have a fancy vanilla latte in the comfort of our own home. Especially when we can sip on it curled up on our couch with our favourite blanket and watch another episode of one of our favourite shows during Clara’s nap time.
However, visiting different cute small town cafes and treating ourselves to vanilla lattes is one of our favourite dates to do every week.
This morning I decided it was time to learn how to make them at home for when we can’t make it out, but still want our sweet morning treat! This recipe is incredibly simple to make and delicious! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
How do you make a Dairy Free Latte?
To make a Vanilla Almond Milk Latte all you need is this syrup recipe (located below), brewed coffee, and almond milk!
- Fill your mug halfway with coffee and 1-2 tbsp of the vanilla syrup.
- Lastly, froth your almond milk with a hand blender and add it to your mug. It’s that simple!
How long does the syrup last in the refrigerator?
The vanilla syrup lasts for 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator. In our home we keep an eye on it and as long as there is not any mould on it we still use it.
